Support the Library
General Book Donations
You can support Pequot Library by donating your gently used books, music media, comic books, and other book materials. To make a donation, simply drop off your items at the grey shed with cupboards located on the left side of the Library’s driveway, just past the cottage on the corner. Books can be dropped off any day of the week from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. Request a tax donation receipt online or pick one up at the Circulation Desk during library hours when the Library is open.
Each and every one of the hundreds of thousands of books and media items at our book sales has been donated to the Library. Donors come from all over, and it is through the wonderful generosity of these donors that the sales have grown to what they are today. Thank you.
We do accept:
Books (hardcover & paperback), DVDs, CDs, LPs, Audiobooks
We do not accept:
VHS, Cassette tapes, encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks over 5 years old

Donations to Special Collections
Pequot Library’s collection of rare books, manuscripts, and archives is growing. We consider gifts appropriate to the collection throughout the year. To discuss your potential donation with our Special Collections Librarian, click the link below.
Book Sales
Pequot Library’s seasonal book sales are free to attend, with proceeds supporting library services, programs, exhibitions, and school tours. Donations of books and media are accepted year-round at the drop-off shed by the parking lot—visit the calendar for sale dates and details.
